Karin Demaree

Karin Demaree is a Probate Attorney at Jarvis Law Office, bringing decades of legal, financial, and corporate experience to her work with families. Licensed to practice law since 1999, Karin has built a diverse career spanning private practice, corporate counsel, legal publishing, and trust administration.

Karin earned her Bachelor of Science from Miami University with dual majors in Marketing and Finance before obtaining her Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School. Early in her career, she gained hands-on experience in banking and trust administration, which helped shape her understanding of financial and estate matters.

Throughout her legal career, Karin has represented clients in juvenile, domestic, municipal, and probate courts, with a focus on matters involving families and complex personal situations. She also served as General Counsel for Nationwide Insurance, where she worked on corporate, compliance, and retirement plan matters, and as a Legal Editor for LexisNexis, analyzing and summarizing court decisions.

Karin’s broad experience allows her to approach probate matters with both legal insight and practical understanding. She is committed to helping clients navigate difficult situations with clarity, professionalism, and care.

Outside of work, Karin enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, and being around animals. She is an active volunteer, supporting organizations such as local food pantries, animal shelters, and the Ronald McDonald House. She and her husband, Sean, have been married for more than 30 years and share their home with their two dogs.
